The Brief

SuperX is a crypto trading bot platform serving users across the full spectrum of experience — from DeFi-native power users running complex automated strategies to traders new to bots who need a clear path to their first position.

The challenge with crypto trading documentation is that the audience is unusually wide. Power users need precision: exact parameter definitions, edge-case behaviour, and enough detail to build strategies from. New users need confidence: a clear starting point, no assumed knowledge, and a path that actually works before they risk capital.

The engagement came with a tight deadline: full documentation delivered in 4 days.

What I Built

A complete GitBook documentation suite covering the full SuperX platform:

  • Platform Overview — Clear explanation of what SuperX is, how the bot works, and what users can expect from automated trading — written to be accessible without being condescending to experienced traders
  • Setup Guides — Step-by-step onboarding for new users, from account creation through bot configuration to their first active trade, with no assumed prior knowledge of trading bots
  • Feature Documentation — Comprehensive reference for every platform feature — strategy types, configuration parameters, risk controls, and portfolio management tools
  • Trading Workflow References — End-to-end workflow guides covering common trading scenarios: trend following, DCA strategies, stop-loss configuration, and position management

Approach

Speed without sacrificing accuracy. A 4-day deadline on a technical product means making fast, deliberate decisions about structure before writing a word.

The approach was task-first throughout: every guide was organised around what the user is trying to accomplish, not how the platform is internally structured. For crypto trading specifically, that meant leading with outcomes (“how do I set up a DCA strategy”) rather than features (“what is the DCA module”).

Tone was deliberately calibrated — direct and precise for experienced traders, patient and contextual for newcomers — with the structure allowing both audiences to find their entry point without wading through content irrelevant to them.

Results

Full documentation delivered on deadline. The engagement earned a 5-star review from the client — driven not just by the turnaround time, but by the quality of the result: documentation that serves the platform’s actual user base, from first-time bot users to active DeFi traders.
